Dhanya Dampfhofer was born 1943 in Vienna. She studied in Vienna at the “Kunsthochschule”, Her artistic work is influenced through her teacher Rudolf Kauner and Vienna Art tradition, especially by the “Wiener Schule”. Since 1972 Dhanya Dampfhofer lives in Berlin and goes her own way in painting. Her paintings are imaginative, sparkling in colors. Sometimes it seems the paintings are telling fairy tales, symbols or mysterious landscapes. Dhanya Dampfhofer´s portraits show the imagination of the human soul, her allegorical style is a search for harmony.
